A few days ago, we visited a local butcher’s holding pen. Behind the metal fence stood several calm, gentle cows. Their big, curious eyes met ours, and for a moment, the noise of the world disappeared. These weren’t just “livestock” — they were living beings with a will to live, each one a soul on borrowed time.

The truth is heartbreaking: in just days, they will be slaughtered unless we step in.

We couldn’t just walk away. We spoke directly with the butcher, and after heartfelt conversations, he agreed to let us purchase them instead of sending them to their deaths. The price is $1,500 per cow — a small fortune for us, but a priceless gift of life for them.

This is a rare opportunity to change their fate. But the window is small, and time is running out.

Our Plan
We are raising funds to:

Rescue – Purchase the cows from the butcher for $1,500 each and transport them safely to the farm.
Care – Provide a full year of feed, bedding, water, and veterinary care so they can recover and thrive.
Shelter – Build a safe, weatherproof home and secure pasture fencing so they will never face danger again.
Sustainability – Once healthy and settled, the cows will be milked, producing fresh dairy products. This will be the first step toward making the farm self-sufficient, so the cows’ own milk can help cover the costs of their care in the future.
