The Destin Fishing Rodeo in Florida starts on Monday 1st October.

During this month-long competition, threatened and endangered shark species will be killed for prizes.

Exploiting a loophole in the law, shark species protected in Florida (such as great and scalloped hammerheads) are caught in Federal waters, transported across state waters, and legally entered into this outdated competition.
