We, the undersigned, call on the Estonian authorities to end the unjust sabotage of DEFEST EXPO 2024 and compensate the financial losses of its organizer, Dmytro Dolgii.

DEFEST EXPO 2024 was set to be the first international defense and security exhibition, a significant step towards strengthening unity between the people and the state in the Baltic region. However, since January 2, 2024, the event’s organizer has faced deliberate sabotage from the Estonian Ministry of Defense and other state institutions. Participants received letters advising them not to attend, while the spread of false information damaged the organizer’s reputation, leading to financial losses exceeding €200,000.

These actions not only undermined trust in public institutions but also dealt a severe blow to private initiatives aimed at benefiting society. We call on the Estonian authorities to:

 1. Conduct an independent investigation into the actions of officials involved in sabotaging DEFEST EXPO 2024.

 2. Ensure full compensation for the organizer’s expenses.

 3. Support entrepreneurial freedom and initiatives instead of obstructing them.
