As a creative writer and music artist, I have dedicated heartfelt time and passion to my work. However, the rise of generative AI in creative fields like animation, video, and music threatens the value of true artistry and the livelihoods of real creators. It's concerning to see society's excitement for these technologies without understanding the serious impact they could have on artistic authenticity.

Generative AI can produce complex works quickly with just a few words, but this raises questions about the difference between true creativity and AI-generated content. Over-dependence on AI may lead to a world that undervalues creativity and originality, putting genuine artists at risk. 

In fact, the petition image and parts of the petition description are AI-generated, and that is supposed to be an example of this whole problem. Why would someone who overly relies on AI put effort into making that kind of writing, drawing, or anything creative, when they can just type a few words into an AI bot and get it served to them on a silver platter in like 5 minutes tops? Truly, it's upsetting how people blindly celebrate this without realizing they are supporting something that's hurting creativity

One of the reasons I am creating this petition is due to new AIS like VEO 3 and Sora 2. These are AI video generators capable of generating hyperrealistic videos in minutes. Isn't that concerning? Imagine if I were an animator and filmmaker who did this kind of stuff. My work would feel pointless if I found out there was an AI that could do it in at most under an hour. Do you not see how concerning that is? And people who push and support this are not realizing that this is HURTING creativity. 

Also, AI is getting too realistic to the point where it's getting harder for us to tell if it's real or not. Like there are people I know who didn't realize an image was AI-generated, so I had to point it out to them. Now imagine in 2-3 years, AI has gotten so realistic that we don't even know what is real and fake anymore. It's just so scary, and people need to stop blindly supporting and celebrating the rise of AI. AI is supposed to be used as an assistant, not just "type a few words and get the work done for you in around ten minutes."

This petition aims to do three things:

1. Urge companies to put regulations on what these AI generators can and can't do.
2. Treat AI as an assistant, not something to do work for you. AI should be constructive, and something to help guide people, not just a machine meant to do everything before you.
3. Raise awareness about the ethical, social, and political issues surrounding AI in the creative field, and encourage a more informed approach to its development and use.

It's time to stop the rise of Generative AI, and protect real creativity.
