The AI data centre is already being built in Regina, and Bell is now planning to quadruple it in size. 

A data centre this big will severely harm our community, our farm land, and our environment.

Large data centres use about 1-5 million gallons of water daily, and 7.2 million kilowatts of energy a month.  a data centre this large is near impossible to run as water and energy efficient, even if Bell claims for it to be. Our bill prices will raise due to this, as well as the cost to grow crop and maintain farm land.

the noise emitted from data centres can heavily disturb wildlife and cause chronic nausea, vertigo, and headaches. 

Very minimal benefits come from from this being built. Despite the “job opportunities”, it is taking away jobs. Ai is replacing medical transcriptionists, therapists, artists,  and much more.

If we want Regina to change for the better, we need to make it known something needs to be changed.
