The public consultation period for the City of Subiaco’s Civic Precinct project ended on 27 February.

On Friday 13 March, the City published a report by an external consultant analysing the results of surveys conducted and feedback received during the public consultation period:

https://www.subiaco.wa.gov.au/see-do/good-to-know/news/engagement-results-for-proposed-new-civic-building-8a08c7d6

(If this link doesn’t work, the report may be found on the City of Subiaco website www.subiaco.wa.gov.au - News - Engagement Results.)

Unfortunately, the consultant’s report makes no mention of the petitions lodged with the City objecting to the concept plans. It is not clear why the results of the petitions were not included. This one and another two I am aware of were all lodged on time.

In her report to Council dated 13 March (in preparation for the Council Meeting on Tuesday 24 March), the City’s Director Corporate Services provided links to this petition and another online petition lodged in relation to the project. But no explanation was given as to why the results were not included or mentioned in the consultant’s analysis of the feedback.

There are other concerns with the methodology used by the consultants.

Therefore, the work of the campaign continues.

I will keep this line of communication open to provide further updates.

In the meantime, many thanks again for your support.
