Further to our news announced last week, The Readington Citizens for Roundabout Alternatives (RCRA) is pleased to provide further good news.
As a reminder, at the Readington Township Committee (TC) meeting on May 18th, the TC voted unanimously on two Resolutions to reduce the speed limit on County Rt629 through Stanton Village to 30mph and also to reduce the speed limit on County Rt523 at the intersection of County Rt629 to 35mph, both with Readington Township Police enforcement. Both Resolutions were then sent to the Hunterdon County Freeholders for their consideration. Specifics of both resolutions are on our previous announcement or can be seen in detail on Page 30 of the minutes at the link below.
Last night (June 16th) at the Hunterdon County Freeholders meeting, the Freeholders unanimously approved both resolutions.
We look forward to seeing the new speed limit signs along with Police enforcement as the traffic increases on both roads as we re-open New Jersey.
