The Forest of Dean District Council have proposed a local plan that would include a new town being built in Churcham around the A40 & A48, consisting of 4,500 new houses. 

This new town in Churcham would be in addition to the proposed 3,500 houses in Glynchbrook.

This means that if the proposed plan goes ahead, the Forest of Dean will be overtaken by 2 new large towns and flooded with another 14,000 cars on our existing over stretched roads.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE FOREST OF DEAN???

GRIDLOCK: The addition of over 8,000 extra vehicles on the A40 and A48 would further exacerbate the strain on an already congested road network.

FOREST DRAIN: The new large scale development will siphon investment away from the Forest of Dean, leaving local businesses and communities behind.

FLOOD RISK: We have already seen our roads and villages under water, concreting greenfield land will only make the flooding crisis worse.
