3. So that the city understands how many people are against the project, please consider speaking during public comment. Even if the points you would have made were addressed by other people, just saying your NAME, ADDRESS, and that you are not if favor of this project can have an impact. (The City summarized the 11/7/22 Planning Commission meeting with the developer as not having many people in objection. They assumed people didn't talk for reasons of their own- see clip.) This is from the DDA meeting in November a few days later: There were many people in attendance on 11/7 who were against the development. Eight people spoke and all made different compelling points. We know silence does not equal approval, but we want to make sure that the city is unable to assume the positions of its residents.
