Stop the proposal of the dissolution of the Business & Technology Division in Bellevue College. The division contains a lot of fields, Accounting, Business Analysis & Technology, Business Management, Marketing, Cybersecurity, Data Management & Analysis, Information Technology, Software Development and Digital Media Arts. Moving the programs to the other divisions effective January 1, without a clear and detailed plan is doom to fail. Business & Technology students graduate and get high paying jobs, transitioning programs to other divisions without support will overwhelm staff and faculty. Students need to have a voice in this matter. The proposal to dissolve the school of Business and Tech was sent via email on the busiest day, 9/22/25 of the Fall Quarter. It was not discussed with key campus stakeholders such as students, faculty and other division staff. We request that the administrators of the college pause this proposal. We request that the college review the budget reduction decision with students, staff and faculty.
