Missouri’s Governor Mike Kehoe just called a special session to redraw congressional maps—not to fix a broken system, but to rig it further in favor of one political party.

This is not about “Missouri values.” It’s about locking in power ahead of the 2026 midterms.

With Republicans already holding a supermajority in the state legislature, this move would allow them to eliminate competitive districts and drown out the voices of hundreds of thousands of voters—especially in urban, Black, and young communities.

And let’s be honest: this isn’t just about Missouri. It’s part of a broader national strategy backed by Donald Trump to manipulate congressional maps to keep control of the U.S. House.

The people of Missouri deserve fair, representative maps—not gerrymandering designed in Washington, D.C., and rubber-stamped in Jefferson City.

• The Missouri General Assembly to reject any redistricting plan not based on independent or nonpartisan principles
• The courts and Department of Justice to monitor and challenge any unconstitutional manipulation of districts
