Currently, over 10% of the Canadian population live below the poverty line which is 3.7 million people. Canada is in the midst of an affordable housing epidemic, with 1 in 5 households struggling to pay rent. These numbers are worse in racialized communities and, as the cost of living continues to rise, keep increasing. 

If this trend does not change, more Canadian will feel the affects of poverty. This is an IMMEDIATE call to action urging the government to take action and create more affordable housing and provide more government funded aid, so EVERY person in the country can have the adequate quality of life they deserve.
