Tonight: ask for No Vote - trustees represent residents; safety & accessibility are not negotiable

CH's latest "downtown plan" is the opposite of "pedestrian safe and accessible." Not even AI can reproduce what is now proposed because it violates so many normal rules of the sidewalk, accessibility and road safety.

Why aren't there renderings/drawings of the streetscape in the $1.9M agenda packet proposal? Forcing pedestrians to walk around trees and light poles doesn't look too great in drawings, does it? Will CBBEL be at the board meeting to answer questions about parallel parking interruptions on the slip-lane when drivers attempt to park and then open their doors and exit their cars with their children right into the single slip-lane of one-way traffic? Where is CBBEL's traffic study? Where is CBBEL's due diligence? Where is our board's required Open Meetings Act public discussion?

Ask our trustees to Vote "No" on this reckless plan that creates numerous traffic and pedestrian hazards, but no measurable benefits to residents or to businesses.
