At the August Village board meeting, over one hour of public comments on the recent flooding on Middaugh, Walnut and Naperville Roads were heard. Read here for more details: https://patch.com/illinois/hinsdale/upset-clarendon-hills-residents-blame-golf-club-flooding Upcoming meetings: Thursday, Sept 3; Zoning Board, 7pm at CH Village Hall: on the agenda is a hearing for 136 Burlington, where relief is being sought from height and parking variances for redevelopment there. Monday, Sept. 21: 6:30 Regular Village Board Meeting at CH Village Hall. Awaiting agenda to see if any downtown plan will be brought back to the board table. With the recent removal of a crucial downtown crosswalk, despite resident pushback and against CBBEL Traffic Study recommendations, we expect that any further proposed changes to vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic-flow will be TESTED first, after Sparrow coffee is up and running. Stay tuned to our No Plaza updates. We will continue to advocate for our safe and proven vehicle and pedestrian passages to remain open and free of unnecessary traffic jams or safety issues in and around our one-and-only train crossing in Clarendon Hills.
