Crosswalk removed despite traffic engineer recommendation.

Please be aware that a safe and proven crosswalk has been removed from our downtown district. Traffic engineers only suggested removal IF a permanent plaza went in. BUT, at the last board meeting, the PLAZA was REJECTED. So why was the crosswalk still removed to make room for a single parking spot for the Sparrow coffee shop, which hasn't even opened its' doors yet? Residents pleaded for the crosswalk to remain in place, but the board refused to revisit the issue. At this Monday's board meeting, the agenda does not include the downtown plan, but it does include a discussion about the recent and troublesome FLOODING that has recently occurred.
