The public Village Board Strategy Session on the latest 'bollard lined, zero-grade, flat expensive paver 'plaza'" is tomorrow, SATURDAY, April 25 at 9AM at the CH Police Dept at 448 Park Ave.

Public comments can be made to the board at the beginning of this meeting and then the board will publicly discuss the 'plaza' and whether or not to authorize  yet ANOTHER $57,000 to plan a PLAZA.  We will continue to push and advocate for NO PLAZA over our critical, safe and proven slip-filter-escape-lane. A plaza in that location in any form, with any closure  beyond event timeframes, will NEVER be safe.

In preparation,  please look carefully at the Village's latest plan below, which includes never-mentioned-before, confusing, unconventional,  flat zero-grade treatment with permanent, ugly parking bollards as an unproven and non-crash-rated substitute for traditional and expected sidewalk curbs, AND a stated plan to CLOSE this lane for 'seasonal' dining and other functions, which equates to as many as 6 months of a completely closed and dangerously obstructed passage into, through and around our ONLY block of OUR collective downtown in our single-train crossing already TOP-RANKED Village.

This latest version of yet another attempt at a  'plaza' is NOT acceptable, safe or good for business.
