CH sits on an inherently dangerous train crossing. We have 4 seasons. Eastbound trains approach on a blind curve. Closing our road for a plaza so close to our train tracks is simply irresponsible. And in Winter, when visibility can be low, our public works employees must endure blizzard and snow conditions to clear our roads.
Our Village board should not make that work more difficult by closing our vital escape-lane. But, this proposal is still on the table, despite overwhelming resident pushback against this useless, expensive plaza playground in the center of our commerce district.
PLEASE Attend on Thursday, Feb 5 to tell the village leaders AGAIN that we simply do NOT want or need this ill-conceived plaza in place of our safe and proven road.
Mark your calendar: Thurs., Feb 5 anytime between 4:30 -7:00 pm at the Community Presbyterian Church basement. Be There.
REJECT all drawings that close our roads for any plaza. Ask for the DATA. The consultant is supposed to be showing us the DATA and the conclusions from the 5 month Visioning process that we all paid for.
