Lake Effect snow combined with 8 freight and Metra trains during school release rush hour yesterday showed how critical our slip-lane is to filtering traffic AWAY from our train tracks at ALL times, every day and night, 365 days every year. No Plaza is ever needed or wanted in that spot. Safety, convenience and our small businesses will all be compromised. Video below:

The Village leader still wants a plaza. They are showing sunny plaza drawings once again and are getting ready to force a vote soon. The cost/benefit of a cement plaza playground in our downtown center will never outweigh the dire consequences of losing our slip lane and our traffic-triangle; congestion, accidents, business-loss and danger for pedestrians and motorists with a plaza so close to our busiest road and to 176 trains/day. No Plaza. We need our road. All of it.
