Time is running out & Winter is around the corner. Which will you use more when that first snowstorm hits? Storefront parking is essential. Another empty plaza is NOT.

The CH board will vote soon to release funding to cover our fork-in-the-road right-turn-lane with a needless plaza UNLESS we residents voice our preference for Parking over any cement plaza plan.

PLEASE let your leaders know that pouring more cement over MORE of our storefront parking (we already lost parking in front of Wasabi and LaCreperie to permanent cement) and our roadway only interrupts safe and efficient passage through our village and it will empty customers and sales from our merchants when people avoid the new congestion.

Both were proven when the right-turn-fork-lane was closed for a one-week this May. Our small businesses lost foot traffic and sales. With the escape-turn-lane closed, vehicle back-ups reached "almost to the railroad" tracks per the "test closure" CBBEL Traffic Engineer's report.

Request that the Village STOP making inflexible, permanent cement slabs. It solves no problems, only creates a host of new ones.

Stop. The. CH. Plaza. Now.

Despite the Village's spin tactics, this 'plaza' over our main traffic artery is a needless, reckless and dangerous mis-use of taxpayer/TIF money.
