5 more lost parking spots, now on the east side of Prospect Ave are slated for dining for the Prospect Tavern. IF the permanent plaza goes in on the West side, nearly half of all current storefront parking will be GONE, there will even more congestion and traffic and passing through Clarendon Hills will be nearly impossible, causing our shops to lose customers and, ultimately, to shutter their doors. 

We will be living in a ghost town if this ridiculous plaza plan is allowed to continue any further.

ATTEND This Monday's (July 21st) CH Village meeting at 6:30pm in Village Hall

WEAR any RED shirt to this meeting to show united opposition to this dangerous, needless plaza.

The "test closure" of the right-turn-slip-escape lane from May 12-18, 2025 in Clarendon Hills has already proven that this CLOSURE causes MAJOR traffic BACKUPS almost to the train tracks. AND our small shops LOST significant foot traffic and SALES were DOWN as much as 40% that week as well (vs. same week a year ago.) A permanent downtown CH plaza will cripple our small businesses and will endanger lives with unsafe traffic conditions and backups.

Enough is Enough. Stop this Plaza NOW. SIGN and SHARE far and wide!
