CBBEL reported 180ft, but 320 ft was the ACTUAL back-up calculation. New images released from the opposite side clearly show the back-up reached almost to the railroad tracks. Even without a bus stopped there, a pedestrian crossing from the old Starbucks corner to Wasabi (on the East side) takes over 40 seconds (the same amount of time that CBELL reported it took to unload kids at that bus stop.) Stop the Plaza. It is unsafe in that location covering up our vital, safe and proven traffic artery's gradual slip-turn lane.
Please SHARE this petition with your neighbors. It is now confirmed that a permanent closure of the right-turn-westbound slip-lane and traffic-triangle in Clarendon Hills would be a reckless, hazardous decision.
