Did you know that a 4-foot wall and a fence have been added to the plaza plan in CH in order to keep kids from falling into Prospect Avenue traffic? Village President Tech publicly stated this at the recent Village Listening Session. Cementing over our safe and proven right-turn-escape-slip lane and its traffic-triangle will ruin our safe passage through Clarendon Hills. The "test closure" of this vital lane in May created multiple dangerous situations per the CBBEL Traffic Engineer presentation and report including "Prospect Avenue down to one lane with Uber drivers and delivery trucks stopped in the road" and "waiting cars backed up almost to the railroad tracks." 

PLEASE FORWARD this PETITION to 2 of your Clarendon Hills' neighbors TODAY. Let them know what their own Village President and leaders REALLY are planning to do to our already safe and picturesque CH Village center. It will be an eyesore for all to see, a traffic nightmare for all to drive through, an emergency vehicle passage hazard AND it will discourage shoppers from ever even coming to shop. STOP the CH PLAZA.
