Site  #22 Maple Hill Rd  is being considered for the placement of the new sewer plant. It will negatively affect the many homeowners of Horn Dr,  Maple Hill Rd,  Plantation South  and Farmington Woods neighborhoods.    With this site being added late in the game  and being on Maple Hill Rd, many residents that will be greatly affected have gone uninformed.  Their concern has been focused on this plant not going on Oriole Dr off Horn Springs Rd, while this site is actually directly behind Plantation South neighborhood and Horn Dr.  Both sites will affect many homeowners. 

 We will be forced to deal with:

• Three years of continuous mechanical noise, construction traffic and blasting, causing disruption to our peaceful way of life and enjoyment of our property
• Decreased home values and marketability due to the close proximity to sewage treatment plant
• Potential property damage from blasting required on this site
• Smell in the event the designed system fails.  Even though this plant is touted as not having an odor, it is a reality that they can smell at times.

Moreover, it is crucial to consider an alternative location for this sewer plant that would not harm residential communities. Urban planning principles suggest that placing such facilities away from populated residential areas minimizes negative impacts and maintains the quality of life for residents.

We propose that the City of Lebanon explore the viability of less invasive location of Hartman Dr, less the Carver Lane property for this facility. With thoughtful planning, we can find solutions that satisfy the city’s infrastructure needs without sacrificing the living conditions of local residents.
