States shouldn’t have the power to take to technology away from anybody let alone students, this directly impacts them as now they have no form of communication to home or family (schools mention land lines, good luck using those for hundreds or even thousands of students), as well as making them feel unsafe, scared, stressed, and nervous without a device with them 

Schools are also banning any other telecommunication devices including watches, earbuds, headphones, and more. some even in study halls, passing time, and lunch!!

This is a huge issue, for New York and other states involved, what do schools expect us to do if there’s an active shooter? Line up next to the door to use the school phones and say our final goodbyes? That’s just one scenario, imagine the outcome of a million others
