Stop the Passage of Senate Bill 3 to Preserve Access to THCA in Texas

Stop the Passage of Senate Bill 3 to Preserve Access to THCA in Texas
The Issue
Over the years, I have personally witnessed the profound impact of therapeutic hemp (THCA) on friends and family. My nephew, a previous sufferer of severe addiction to opioids and methamphetamine, could swim back to the shores of normalcy only because he had access to THCA. Similarly, several of my friends, veterans who bear the hidden scars of PTSD and anxiety attacks, significantly improved their mental and emotional health by using THCA flower. But, a threat looms over these stories of resilience and hope in the form of Senate Bill 3 proposed by Dan Patrick and carried by Sen. Charles Perry, R-Lubbock.
This bill aims to ban all forms of THC, including THCA, in Texas. While Texas currently operates a medical program, this does not cover the use of THCA - a course of treatment many depend on to not just survive, but live a productive and fulfilling life. This move, therefore, inadvertently seals the fate of individuals like my nephew and my veteran friends, whose rehabilitation and healing are essentially hinged on their continued access to THCA.
To strip away this access is to strip away their chance at a quality life. Let's join hands to prevent the passage of Senate Bill 3 so that those reliant on THCA can continue their journey to recovery and a healthy life. Sign this petition today and let your voice be heard. Don't let Texas ban THCA and all form of THC in the form of this bill!
