Despite Public Notice, City of Calgary Not Accepting Petitions!

Communities for Glenmore Landing PreservationCalgary, Canada
Oct 16, 2023

Thank you for supporting Communities for Glenmore Landing Preservation and for voicing your concern about the Glenmore Landing Redevelopment.

Despite the Public Notice posted in both October 5 & 12 print editions of the Calgary Herald specifically saying: “any person wishing to submit a letter, petition or other communication concerning this matter may do so in printed, typewritten or legibly written form only” we have since learned through Elections Calgary and the City’s Development Case Manager for this project that the City will not be accepting petitions in response to the Public Notice.

The City is collecting citizen feedback from the Public Notice up until October 23 here: realestateinquiries@calgary.ca

Having trouble getting started on your feedback letter? For your convenience we have created 3 template letters for you to choose from. here: https://www.stopthetowers.ca/public-notice-templates

Inconvenienced by the inaccurate and misleading wording of the Public Notice? You may wish to write directly to the Development Case File Manager: Melanie.Horkan@calgary.ca

Please ask that the Public Notice be corrected and republished and the submission deadline and hearing dates be extended to account for time wasted that this errant wording is responsible for.

This process and the allocated response time need be respected.

Please show how much you care about sensitive Reservoir Parklands and your community by completing this feedback to the City.  Let your concerns be heard!
