Hi all, 

No doubt, many of you have heard the good news (and it is good news) that we won our court case in New York and were granted a temporary restraining order on the emergency hemp regulations promulgated by the NY Office of Cannabis Management earlier this year. 

However, we can't claim victory quite yet. The OCM is expected to finalize their proposed rules with the same stipulations as outlined in the emergency rules this Friday, November 17th. At which point the damage to the hemp industry will be more difficult to undo. 

It is not too late to advocate for hemp. While we continue to battle in the offices and courts, you can help fight for hemp by decrying excessive regulation of hemp products. We can and will find solutions to properly regulate hemp products if we continue to make the case for their efficacy and continue to work collaboratively to regulate hemp products in a safe and effective manner.

For those of you in New York, especially, continuing to make your voice heard in any way audible for Governor Hochul, New York government staff, and New York legislators is paramount to our combined success. Make phone calls, write letters, talk to your niece who interns in Albany, post on social media, etc. Anything and everything helps so long as the logic is sound and the message is clear and polite. 

And don't forget to share this petition further and wider. The more signatures and comments, the better.
