Build a park for families and children—not another landing field in the area! We already have one, and that’s more than enough. Ask the people who support this project if they would like to have another landing field right next to their homes. I’m sure the answer would be very different.

our residential community. Its potential impact on our health, quality of life, environment, and property values is unacceptable. I urge our local officials to protect residents and reject this proposal.

Warning Signs Are Flashing at America’s Overheating Landfills August 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM GMT+2 https://www.bloomberg.com/features/2026-america-overheating-landfills/?cmpid=082026_morningamer&utm_campaign=morningamer&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&utm_term=260820&utm_content=7905

I’m strongly against putting a new landfill so close to the Medley and Doral communities. Families live here, kids go to school here, and people have invested their lives and homes in this area. We should not have to worry about more odors, pollution, heavy truck traffic, noise, pests, and the possible impact this could have on our health and property values. This area already deals with a lot of traffic and industrial activity. Adding another landfill near residential neighborhoods would only make things worse. I hope our local leaders listen to the people who actually live here and understand how much this could affect our daily lives. Please find a more appropriate location and protect the health, safety, and quality of life of the Medley and Doral communities.

A new landfill would be catastrophic for the economy and the way of life of the modern City of Doral. Putting a massive waste facility in our backyard would reverse all that progress. Professionally, I know firsthand what this will do. The combination of garbage truck traffic, persistent odors, and environmental hazards will immediately suppress property values, kill investment potential, and drive away the commercial growth we’ve worked so hard to attract.
