EV drivers aren’t asking to avoid tax — we’re asking for it to be fair.

People switched to electric because the government encouraged it — lower running costs, greener travel, part of the UK’s net zero plan.

Now, the proposed per-mile charge risks punishing those who actually followed that advice and made the investment early.

This petition is already being shared across EV owner groups, local communities, and even energy forums.

The more of us who speak up now, the harder it will be to design an unfair system later.
