Young people are losing faith in politics.
Trust is low, disengagement is high, and yet 16 and 18 year olds are being asked to vote, to shape a system many of them do not believe in.
So, we’re doing something about it.
We’ve just launched Compassion in Politics on TikTok, led by our brilliant Youth Ambassador, Isobel Youll, and this video is where it begins.
This matters.
Because if we want a different kind of politics, one rooted in compassion, honesty and integrity, we have to meet the next generation where they already are.
Not in ten years. Now.
TikTok is a far from perfect platform and, like many, we have deep concerns about it. But stepping back is not neutral. It means leaving the space to voices that divide, mislead and disengage.
2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Compassion in Politics, and building a real connection with young people is central to that. Isobel’s energy and leadership have already made a huge difference.
Thank you Isobel!
If you are able to, please consider becoming a member or simply by making a donation to help us build our youth work and keep this momentum going.
And if not, you can still play a powerful role by watching, following and sharing.
Because the future of democracy depends on whether the next generation believes it is worth showing up for.
Let’s give them a reason to.
Best wishes
The Compassion in Politics Team
