Ways to get involved- Stop the merging of Pegram and Kingston Springs Elementary

Hello Petition Supporters,

My name is Grace with the Change.org Civic Engagement Team. Congratulations on the momentum you are building on the topic of stopping the merger of Pegram and Kingston Springs Elementary. Having 189 people come together to advocate is a big milestone.

When momentum builds on a petition, our team reaches out to the local leaders who have the power to act on the issue. We help make sure they are aware of the growing support and encourage them to share a response directly to you about where things stand, actions they have or will take, and how the community can get involved in the decision making process.

Through outreach we learned key information that will inform the decision making process and supporter mobilization.

We spoke with the office of the Cheatham County Director of Schools. They shared that this Thursday, October 29, will be the first conversation on this topic, and there should be a better idea of what is to come after that meeting. Thursday's meeting is a work session. It is closed to the public but will be live streamed, and the link can be found on the district's Facebook page. There will also be a public meeting on November 5.
