Since March 6-7, 2025, reports have surfaced of ongoing massacres targeting the Alawite community, christian community and other minorities along the Syrian coast, particularly in villages around Latakia, and cities such as Banias, and Jableh.

Testimonies and visual evidence point to mass executions, forced displacements, and systematic violence against civilians, raising alarms of potential ethnic cleansing.

Despite the severity of these crimes, the international response has been alarmingly absent, allowing these atrocities to continue unchecked. We cannot afford silence or inaction while civilians are being targeted.

We, the undersigned, urgently demand:

• An immediate and independent international investigation led by the United Nations, international human rights organizations, and legal bodies, to collect evidence, identify perpetrators, and ensure accountability.
• Urgent intervention to protect civilians through diplomatic pressure, international monitoring, and humanitarian assistance to prevent further violence and mass atrocities.
• A strong, public condemnation from governments, international institutions, and the media to break the cycle of impunity and prevent further crimes.

The international community has a moral and legal duty to act swiftly. History will judge those who turn a blind eye to these atrocities. We call on world leaders, humanitarian organizations, and the global public to take a stand and demand justice and protection for the innocent lives at risk.
