Update as of May 17th, 2025: Well, well, well. We meet again nearly 3 months after this petition started. As of now, multiple NWS offices are no longer able to operate 24/7. Multiple tornado warnings were also not issued or were delayed during an extremely life-threatening situation. Research funding for the NOAA is being proposed to be completely cut. What has occurred over the past 3 months can be described as nothing other than tragic and unnecessary. None of this needed to happen. If we had continued to fund the NWS & NOAA, we would be in a much better place right now. This is anything but "improved government efficiency." This is abhorrent. Please continue to share this a much as you can.
