Parkdale’s fight against KingSett Capital continues! Will you sign our open letter in a show of support for a Parkdale where everyone can thrive?

Last year, you signed our petition demanding that KingSett make 30% of the units affordable at the luxury condo they proposed for King and Cowan Avenue. That petition — now with more than 1,500 signatures — was cited in the city’s rejection of KingSett’s application.

Unfortunately, KingSett has since appealed the city’s decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT), where a hearing will take place this June. KingSett is banking on the notoriously pro-developer OLT to overturn the city’s decision and let them push through their luxury condo plans — despite strong opposition from the neighbourhood, city planners, and city councillors.

Since KingSett didn’t listen the first time, our demands have escalated. Parkdale is now coming together to say: KingSett, drop the appeal! No luxury condo at King and Cowan!
