Hello Community Members! 

We hope this message finds you well. We wanted to update you regarding the KingSett condo application at King & Cowan. 

Unfortunately, we have been notified that Kingsett Capital has appealed the City's refusal of their development application. We are very concerned about this appeal and the difficult battle ahead of us. Kingsett Capital has appealed to the OLT (Ontario Land Tribunal). This means that if the province rules in KingSett's favor this condo will be built. 

In the coming weeks, we will be working to understand more about the appeal process at the Provincial level and how as a community we can fight it. We will share information as it comes. If you are interested in getting more involved, now is the time. We invite you to join our ongoing Parkdale Housing Justice Network (PHJN) meetings that take place every other Thursday. We will discuss next steps and how to mobilize against KingSett and the OLT.
