STOP WATERFORD TWP FROM KILLING SWANS

HERE WE GO>>> The DNR will be spreading their propaganda at the Waterford Twp board meeting in Waterford Monday, July 27th at 6pm. They will be telling residents how bad the mute swans are and they need to be killed. We will hear a lot misguided information, but will see no actual DNR Michigan based studies or info on how they arrive at their counts. Please residents of Waterford and of Michigan, please to not fall for these totally bogus allegations. Show up at this meeting and ask the Board to make the residents who use the lake be more respectful to our waterfowl and to others who didn't move on the lake to just enjoy boats and waverunners racing around. We need to co-exist with nature. We can't keep killing everything because we don't like it, and especially, not because the DNR and hunting groups tells us an animal is bad. Contact the Waterford trustees and ask them to VOTE NO on killing the swans. http://twp.waterford.mi.us/Government/Board-of-Trustees.aspx We went to Maceday Lake Tueday to check out the aggressive swan. He and his family came up to us and we were able to feed them. The male swan in question hissed but still ate all the while. He almost took the food from our hands, but he was startled by other ducks and geese coming over. Please, if you ever had a run in with the DNR, Monday will be your chance to share. your experience. Let's bring them down!!! People overseas, if you could please contact the trustees as well, it would be greatly appreciated.
