VICTORY IN WATERFORD THIS EVENING!!!

VICTORY!!!! Waterford Township Board voted unanimously to "NOT DO ANYTHING TO THE MUTE SWANS." This includes egg and nest destruction. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources said they would be there but they did not show. Channel 7 was there. I think they will air it at 11pm, but not sure, There was one man that said the swans attacked his grandchild and such ,but then said he was a member of Ducks Unliimited for 30 some years. The sweetest 87 year old lady spoke after that and showed pictures of her grandkids feeding the swans. Thanks to Jill Fritz from the HSUS and everyone who came out and showed their support for the swans tonight. I hope we can all unite in the future and win this fight to save our mute swans. They said they had calls from all over the states and world. How exciting. Thanks to all of you as well. They especially seemed impressed by a letter they received from someone in England. The Board seemed to enjoy the stories they heard this evening. Please drop them a line or e-mail and THANK them for not falling prey to the DNR's management plan and LIES.
