TIME IS RUNNING OUT>>>PLEASE HELP SAVE NEW YORK MUTE SWANS Contact Governor Cuomo and ask him to sign bill S01555 into law. It will place a moratorium on any mute swan killings and will make the DEC prove their claims against the swans. This bill is huge not only for New York swans, but for all mute swans in the United States. If this bill is signed, it will give us power to fight the DNR in Michigan, where they have slaughtered over 8000 swans that we know of through FOIA's. If you live out of state or out of the country, please call or write as well. Governor Cuomo is big on tourism and if that is threatened, maybe he will think twice about signing. Whether by fishing line, hooks, power lines, boats, cars, arrows, bullets, clubbed (as seen in the picture on the gofundme link), etc , we have seen a lot of out-right cruelty towards these swans.
