Last weekend two amazing people Simon and Cathy Morrison donated and erected a new memorial at the site on the Eyre Highway Yalata were Slim was killed on 4 April 2024.  The previous memorial was either stolen or removed by the Council.  I have emailed the Yalata Community Council requesting details to make sure of action needed so it is not removed.  I am yet to get a reply.  Simon and Cathy have made thanks to CMV Trucks for donating the pipes, Synergy Signs for engraving the stone and Wayne from Truck Bling Australia for another awesome job.  I cant thank everyone enough for the amazing trubite to Slim's memory.  May he watch over everyone travelling the highway.
