İnsanlık suçu işlenmesine karşın sessiz kalmak taraf tutmak demektir. İsrail Parlamentosu'nun (Knesset) ölüm cezasını yasallaştırma kararı uluslararası hukukun açık bir ihlalidir ve insanlığa karşı işlenen suçların teyidi anlamına gelir. Bu karar sadece adaletin tecelli etmesini engellemekle kalmıyor, aynı zamanda temel insan haklarını da ihlal ediyor.

Birleşmiş Milletler İnsan Hakları Evrensel Bildirgesi, herkesin yaşam hakkına sahip olduğunu belirtirken, bazı devletlerin ölüm cezasını uygulaması insanlık değerlerine aykırı bir eylemdir. İsrail Parlamentosu'nun aldığı bu karar, dünya genelinde ölüm cezasının kaldırılması yönünde atılan adımlara da ters düşmektedir. Son yıllarda birçok ülke ölüm cezasını kaldırmış veya uygulamalarını durdurmuştur çünkü ölüm cezası geri döndürülemez hataların yapılmasına neden olabilecek, insanlık onuru açısından kabul edilemez bir uygulamadır.

Adalet, intikamla karıştırılmamalıdır. Suçları önlemek için ölüm cezasına dayalı bir yargı sistemi kurmak yerine, eğitime, sosyal hizmetlere ve rehabilitasyon programlarına yatırım yapmak gerekmektedir. Toplumdaki suç oranlarını azaltmanın ve gerçek adaleti sağlamanın daha etkili yolları bulunmaktadır.

Ölüm cezasına yönelik bu geriye dönük hareketin durdurulması ve insan haklarına saygılı bir yasa tasarısına derhal dönüş yapılması için sesinizi yükseltin. Bu insani davada yanımızda olun ve bu adaletsizliğe "dur" demek için bu dilekçeyi imzalayın.

The Israeli Parliament (Knesset), once again trampling on universal legal norms and human rights, has adopted a death penalty regulation that is intended to be applied only to Palestinians. This decision will go down in human history as a dark stain, an attempt at "genocide disguised as law."
The Legal Basis for Extrajudicial Executions: Genocide and Apartheid
With this new regulation, Israel has taken the human rights violations it has systematically committed since its establishment to the highest level. This law, which targets only a specific group based on ethnic identity, is the most concrete evidence of the crime of Apartheid (Racial Discrimination) as defined in international law. Since October 7, the Israeli regime, which has been targeting women, children, healthcare workers, and journalists, and using hunger as a weapon of war, continues to openly defy the international community with this decision.
The Silence of International Security Mechanisms is Unacceptable
The silence of the international community in the face of a regime that targets UN buildings, schools, places of worship, and hospitals, and attempts to legitimize its murders on theological grounds, is causing the erosion of the global rule of law. It is time to go beyond condemnation messages and implement concrete and effective sanctions.

United Nations and Relevant Bodies: Immediately take sanction decisions to stop this illegal decision by Israel and end the violations in the occupied territories.
International Criminal Court (ICC): Add this regulation to its file under "crimes against humanity" and immediately initiate proceedings against those responsible.
World Public Opinion: Take a firm stance against Israel's racist and illegal practices and not be complicit in this oppression.
