Update Regarding Similar Failed Projects in the Area:

Thank you all for your continued support. Please keep spreading the petition!
I have been researching other projects in the area and as you may have expected, they are negatively affecting the surrounding businesses and residents. The picture in this update is from a McDonald's from across the street from a REPURPOSED MOTEL 6 SHELTER IN GRESHAM: 18323 SE STARK ST, PORTLAND, OR 97233.
There are numerous negative reviews describing the homeless problem at the restaurant.
I requested Police Reports from the Gresham Police Department for the past year from this facility and they e-mailed me back saying there are too many calls and that I need to narrow it down.
I have also received input from:
TAMMY STEMPEL (FORMER MAYOR OF GLADSTONE)
ABOUT TUKWILA SPRINGS SHELTER that I'm quoting below:
"
We have police and fire going there almost every day, because it isn’t a secure facility, we have homeless and drug addicts hanging out in the neighborhood.
The increased theft in the city has been incredible since this came in! It has to be a secure, monitored facility with monthly lessons learned in the beginning before I would even start talking about it.
I was a huge advocate for the project, and still am, if they can deliver what they promised. It was to be low income senior housing with a goal of Gladstone residents first. What it became was a mental health transition shelter!
I want these projects to work, but it seems like they are pretty much designed to fail.

Please continue to share and request signatures! We need to avoid this in Happy Valley and Clackamas!
