Tuesday: “Diapers Not Data” Protest and Donation Drive in Hagerstown

Hagerstown Rapid Response and Washington County Indivisible will hold a “Diapers Not Data” protest and donation drive tomorrow, September 29 at 9 AM., outside the Washington County administration building at 100 W. Washington Street in Hagerstown.

The event will focus on concerns about data center development while also collecting diapers, baby wipes, formula, and other baby supplies for the Western Maryland Immigrant Rights Collective. The organizers’ message: while local officials debate massive development projects, community members are putting resources directly into helping their neighbors.

Just a reminder, we uncovered that the Washington County Commissioners and Administrator signed an NDA with a data center developer which is marketing a data center at 12440 Burkholder Lane in Hagerstown. Read all about it at the link below and hopefully we will see you Tuesday morning at 9 AM!
