Do you want to Stop the Highrise?

Do you want socially-fair and community-sensible housing?

To win this battle, our community needs resources. Stop the Highrise Campaign urgently needs more flyers and posters to boost awareness, funds to hire meeting spaces and to pay for a Survey-Monkey account to canvas for better solutions to the housing crisis. DONATE HERE

We all know that Red Rock's high-rise plan has the potential to set a dangerous precedent for more unfair profit-driven development in our neighbourhood and beyond.

Bad development is contagious and it must be stopped.

Red Rock is a developer with large financial resources and deeply-rooted government support, and simply hoping that an Bórd Pleanála will put a stop to their plans will almost certainly leave us disappointed.

An Bórd Pleanála have a clear track record of permitting developments like this one, even when it defies their own inspectors and the views of local planners and councillors. When this happens, communities like ours have no choice but to pursue an expensive Judicial Review.

We cannot allow this to happen to us. We must ensure that our voice is heard and that it is heard now and in the right places.

Stop the Highrise is calling on Red Rock to immediately withdraw their plans and to engage in meaningful discussions with our community for a suitable alternative.

Stop the Highrise is calling on you to support our effort in the interest of this community and in the spirit of ensuring fair and democratic processes nation-wide. Click here to make a donation and ask your family friends and neighbors to do the same.

With the right dialogue and a fair process, we can work together with developers to design the right solutions to the housing crisis.

Finally! Here's some links on media coverage of Stop the Highrise this week that you may have missed.
