Our Stop the Highrise Campaign is getting stronger, building momentum and gathering more and more support every day!
We have been overwhelmed with the response from within our community and beyond. Well done and thanks to everyone!
Here are the numbers:
- Almost 100 official observations have been lodged with An Bord Pleanala from across our community and beyond.
- We have 1149 signatures on our online petition and its still growing. Spread the word, we need more and more! Keep sharing, sending it out to your friends, whatsapp group, local associations, family.
- 4 DLRCOCO Councilors and 1 Local TD have signed our petition.
- Scores of people from communities Dublin affected by similar antisocial developments have messaged their support - including Shankill, Ballybrack, Dalkey, Bray, Merrion, Santry, Clontarf, Cabra and Stoneybatter.

- RADIO INTERVIEW: 1250 people listened to Local Community Organiser Nicola Coleman’s comprehensive interview on Dublin South FM. Nicola answered important questions about the threat the High-Rise poses to us all as a community, and about who and what is behind it, and the ways in which we can come together to stop it. Every one of us needs to get ready to ACT for the sake of sustainable development and to preserve the integrity & cohesion of our community!
Here are some simple things you can do right away.
- POSTERS - STOP the HIGHRISE posters look great in the window of your home/ or car. workplace, school, community centre or sports club. Not only do they look great but it illustrates the strong sense of community.
- TALK – Tell people about our campaign or invite someone from the campaign to come along and speak to your group
- SHARE – Share news about our campaign on your Facebook, Whats App and social media
- FOLLOW – Follow us on our new Twitter @stopthehighrise
- SHARE YOUR SKILLS - We especially want to hear from you if you have skills in Theatre and Performance, Poetry and Music – Handicrafts, stitching and sewing - Art and Design – Writing and Social Media, Photography and PR
