The 16th April will see the start of the appeal inquiry at the Nancegollan Village Hall.
Anyone can attend and make comments about their particular issues with this application.
The Environment Agencies permit team are going through the considerable amount of objections to the permit application, and I suspect this will take some time.
Many oversights and issues were raised at the EA’s public consultation and the overriding factor is this proposal has far too many hens within a Nitrate Vulnerable Zone, the applicants wishes to place 1898 hens per hectare and Defra say 320 to comply with NVZ rules, this to me is a no brainer, 18,880 hen’s max on this application site not the proposed 112,000.
At the Defra recommended stocking density of 320 hens per hectare, we are led to believe the threats to biodiversity, ecology, the river Hayle, ground water pollution, private drinking water supplies, pests, odour and airborne pollution will be pretty much non-existent, why anyone would not want to comply is beyond my comprehension.
We still need massive support for our GOFUNDME campaign, please share this link; we desperately need your support at this critical time, only 3 weeks left!

We had an incident here last Saturday night with what appeared to be a targeted nuisance aimed very close to 3 of the main objector’s properties. It was carried out by persons unknown in a vehicle driving around the application site firing off 4 shot gun rounds at a time whilst driving at speed, they were not lamping rabbits. One neighbour was very concerned, he had taken his dogs out for their last walk before going to bed and was not sure where the shots were landing!
This type of behaviour has not happened in this area to my knowledge, the concern is whether they were allowed to be there in the first place.
Thank you all very much for your support over the last 2 years, please continue to share and pass the word around.
