I’ve just read about the mortality rate of “FREE RANGE HENS”
The accepted figures are anything between 5% to 10%
Given the size of this MEGA INDUSTRIAL EGG FACTORY of 112,000 hens, this equates to anything from 107 to 214 dead hens per week, that’s 5600 to 11,200 per year.
Considering the UK throw away over 240 million eggs per year, this is about 803,000 hens wasting their precious lives in a hell hole for absolutely nothing at all, and out of this 803,000, upto 11,200 will die a horrible death for no reason.
It’s all down to money money money and quite frankly I’m so upset having done the figures this evening, I have to stop.
