Nancegollan Action Group
Oct 1, 2017
You would have thought in this day and age the ability to communicate is pretty easy these days, however, this is obviously not the case. The applicants had the opportunity to give a Technical briefing to the Strategic Planning committee and members of the local Council. These events are open to the public and should be attended to give an opportunity to listen to the various technical issues associated with this industrial Mega Farm. Unfortunately the public was not informed nor was it listed on the agenda, I only found out about this whilst watching the webcast of the meeting, the chairman mentioned they will have a technical briefing re the chicken farm at Nancegollan in at 12:00!! I waited for this meeting to start; however, the webcast was not available. Surely some members of the Nancegollan Action Group should have been made aware of such a meeting, it’s quite obvious who we are and all our details are listed on the council’s portal. We were also promised by the public relations officer that any updates or information would be passed on to us, it wasn’t. The other concern is the Ecologist (inc. Marine Ecology and Biodiversity) have only just been consulted, considering the deadline for determination was the 1st Sep this seems quite an odd thing to do, why wait until now!! http://planning.cornwall.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?previousCaseType=Property&previousKeyVal=OPU1WVFG00B00&activeTab=summary&previousCaseUprn=010093599915&previousCaseNumber=OPU1RHFG00B00&keyVal=OPBXRQFGFYZ00
