The residents of Nancegollan were pleased to have the opportunity to discuss the Industrial “Mega Farm” planning application submitted by Greville Richards of Southern England Farms Ltd. We have many areas of concern that appear to be overlooked by the applicant’s agents. The red line boundary being one major issue, the manure management plan appears to be non functional and ill thought out, the transport statement is lacking in the amount of movements, the flood mitigation will not work, the threats to private water supplies appears to have been forgotten. These and many more issues were raised. Derek Thomas was concerned and gave his support; he will be visiting the local area next week, he will view the site from the resident’s properties that will be directly affected also the Lagoon and water course that leads to the river Hayle. The planning application is still open to submit an objection, we urged you to do this sooner rather than later.
