Greville Richards, director of Richland's Foods and Southern England farms will need to get an Environmental permit to operate his 112,000 free range Mega egg farm in the unspoilt and undeveloped Cornish landscape. A great deal of work to secure and protect the natural habitat is required and we believe this to be completely untenable. The threat to our river system,ponds,lagoons and lakes cannot be controlled via a permit. Placing 4 industrial units with 112,000 hens on the top of a hill is completely absurd. The amount of inaccurate and misleading information, the fundamentally flawed application makes this whole proposal a complete joke. Investing in this type of application requires a basic level of the planning process of which we believe has been overlooked by those who should know better!!
