The removal of the BISD Librarians will affect the lives of many. The librarians do so much for our school system and for the students. Not only do they support the creativity of others, but they also create a safe and welcoming environment. I have personally seen the librarians change and sculpt the lives of those around them. Students that haven’t read in years are encouraged to explore their interests and have fun participating in the activities the library holds. 

     The library is a place where students can express themselves, feel comfortable, and meet new people. It is unfair that budget cuts be made to a department that unites the school and seeks to aid others. The librarians genuinely care about the wellbeing of the students and gently guide them. I can always count on the librarian if I have an emergency, I need someone to talk to, or I just need a really good book recommendation. The librarians are so much more than just people who manage books. They are kind souls who wish for the best for the children attending their schools. Please help support the cause that is halting the firing of our librarians.
